Cardio & Strength Connection provide a unique opportunity to tour South Shore Fitness' weight equipment. A personal trainer will take you on a tour of the gym’s weight machines and free-weights detailing how to use the equipment with hands-on instructions and illustrations. Particular focus will be on how to set up equipment, how many sets to do, and how many repetitions to do in each set.
Cardio Connection provides the same unique opportunity to tour South Shore Fitness’ facility with the focus on the gym’s state of the art cardiovascular equipment. Trainers will move step by step through cardio equipment including ellipticals, stationary bikes, and treadmills. This tour emphasizes how to set up and use various cardio machines including frequency, heart rate targets and how to effectively use a heart rate monitor.
Both Strength connection and Cardio Connection are formatted to make you comfortable with South Shore Fitness' wide variety of equipment. Each tour will provide the basics you need to be comfortable using the gym’s equipment and to gain a better understanding of how to create reasonable fitness goals. These are not work-out sessions so bring lots of questions with pen and paper to take lots of notes.
